Using trading cards for our study of heroes would be super. There were so many ways to use flickr photos it challenges me! This last year we made Animoto videos, and then the class was doing tons of Powerpoints. Now I see other possibilities, and I want more computer time! We could work in reader responses to fiction and nonfiction....Looking forward to learning more.

I set up my avatar and was surprised at how easy it was to include on the blog. I use web based email, and it even showed up there. Why is it called "avatar"?

I am learning to take care of rabbits. I received a young rabbit, and our class has taken good care of her, I think. She has outlived her siblings and parents.

Thing #2

Am I a life long learner? I hope so. I am learning to blog in this format. Of the 7 1/2 habits, the easiest one for me is #2: take responsibility for my own learning. The one that represents an area of weakness is creating a toolbox. What is supposed to be in my toolbox? Do I already have these tools somewhere close that I could use instead of buying new ones? Is this a common tool, or something difficult to find? My questions about the tools needed make this an area of weakness.
